The Town of Morehead City, in conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, The Louis Berger Group, Inc., and Henderson Consulting have announced that they will be conducting an Open House on March 29th at the Crystal Coast Civic Center from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. The purpose of the drop-by Open House is to solicit comments and ideas from Morehead City’s citizens, business community, and anyone interested in the potential of Morehead City to become a great pedestrian town.
“Morehead City already has so much going for it, and offers a lot of potential for it becoming one of the premier communities to get around on foot,” said Scott Lane, the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager with The Louis Berger Group, Inc. “We want to hear from everyone about how to make our place even better as our economy, our travel habits, and our definition of what makes a competitive city in the 21st century all lead us to walking as the best way to reach the places we want to go. We hope that everyone gets a chance to stop by, visit us on our Facebook site, and answer our quick on-line survey. We’re also excited about getting to work on a project with West Carteret High School to help educate them and us about the future of walking in Morehead City.”
The Open House will be open to everyone to drop in, at the place, date, and times shown below:
