Parking in downtown Raleigh gets a little easier

New pay stations have replaced old parking meters and they allow you to pay with cash or credit card.

GREENVILLE - Starting Tuesday, you won't need a ton of pocket change to park in downtown Raleigh.

New pay stations have replaced old parking meters and they allow you to pay with cash or credit card. Blue and white signs will walk drivers through the new paying process.

City leaders hope the new system will help encourage parking space turnover and increase traffic for local businesses.
