Students in Beaufort County were looking to their futures today.
John Small Elementary School hosted career day.
It gives the students an opportunity to see what's out there when they graduate and what they could end up doing for the rest of their lives.
"I think it's very important the earlier, the younger the students are because then they can almost have a pathway to where their school goes, their academics can be more toward the career they they would like to have, plus it actually teaches them about other jobs than what their parents have, that there are other opportunities than just being a teacher or the things that they see everyday," said Lisa Tate, Principal.
Careers ranged from local politics to being an agent with the State Bureau of Investigation.
