Authorities say a Jacksonville woman has died as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle motorcycle crash.
It happened on Gum Branch Road between Western Boulevard and Maynard Boulevard Wednesday night.
42 year old Lisa Chamberlin was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson when she failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway. Her passenger, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the vehicle.
Chamberlin was taken to Onslow Memorial Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
Jacksonville Police are still investigating the incident.
