Community colleges in our state are one step closer to admitting illegal immigrants again.
Today, the State Board of Community Colleges voted in favor of a policy that would allow illegals to enroll.
They would be admitted if they graduated from a US high school and pay out of state tuition.
Students would not be eligible for financial aid and US citizens and legal residents would get priority if classes are full.
The policy still has to be approved by a Rules Review Commission before it's finalized.
If the commission gets at least ten written objections, state lawmakers will have to take on the issue.
