GREENVILLE, N.C. - Deputies have uncovered a possible terrorist plot in a small eastern North Carolina town.
The Currituck County Sheriff's Office arrested brothers Timothy and Daniel Robinson of Shawboro.
The landlord called deputies when he noticed they were growing plants in the attic. When deputies went to the Robinsons’ house, they found toxic chemicals like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, bomb making materials, and flight gear.
They also found poisonous plants and marijuana along with receipts for flight school.
The sheriff's office believes the men were plotting some kind of attack. Both men are ex-military members. Timothy Robinson was in the Army and Daniel Robinson was in the Navy.
