NEW YORK (AP) - An assistant manager at the World Trade Center visitor center has been charged with stealing more than $40,000.
The alleged thefts occurred between August and February. Authorities said security cameras were installed after an audit showed that cash register receipts were coming up short.
Twenty-five-year-old Emmanuel Reyes was scheduled to appear in a Manhattan courtroom Friday. The name of Reyes' attorney was not immediately available.
The Tribute WTC Visitor Center sells memorabilia to raise money for the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
