Washington, D.C. - A new resolution will honor Vietnam Veterans across the nation.
The U.S. Senate passed a resolution making March 30th "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.” Senator Richard Burr introduced the resolution.
It encourages communities across the nation to honor those who served in Vietnam and to welcome them home.
When the Vietnam War ended on March 30, 1973, Vietnam Veterans were ignored or overlooked when they came home because the war itself had become unpopular.
