A beautiful spring day leads to a clear spring night. It’s the perfect weather for a star-gazing party.
A Time for Science Learning Center held their first equinox party on part of their recently acquired 250 acre nature reserve. The nonprofit had over 10 telescopes set up for the event.
Students from D.H. Conley High School helped out at the event along with kids from the Boys and Girls Club. They got to spend some time touring the night sky. The community was also invited to come out and view the rising of Saturn and its rings.
People could also register to have a chance for their names to be included on a microchip sent with the next Mars Rover.
The stargazers were also lucky enough to see the International Space Station cross overhead.
