WASHINGTON, D.C. - Frustrations over airline security this holiday season caught the attention of a North Carolina lawmaker.
Last week, Congressman Walter B. Jones co-sponsored a bill called "the American Traveler Dignity Act of 2010”.
The bill was originally introduced by Texas congressman Ron Paul and would establish that airport security screeners are not immune from laws dealing with unlawful physical contact.
Airline security has come under fire over the past few weeks from passengers calling procedures like body-screening and enhanced pat-downs an intrusion of privacy.
