GREENVILLE, N.C. – Hurricane Earl has organizations like the Red Cross in full disaster response mode.
It already opened up a shelter in Pitt County to help anyone who needs to take cover during and after the storm more shelters could open up as the day progresses, but the Red Cross stands ready just in case.
George Philpott works with the South Carolina Upper Palmetto Chapter of the Red Cross and is volunteering with the Pitt County Red Cross chapter and Chris Taylor from the Pitt County Red Cross joined Nine on Your Side’s Jim Niedelman in the studio this morning.
