EMERALD ISLE, N.C. - The winds are really beginning to pick up here as Hurricane Earl treads dangerously close to our coast.
The dark clouds of Earl have been hovering over the us all day.
High waves have really been the biggest threat as they cause some seriously dangerous rip currents.
People were out on the beach throughout the day today to watch the storm come in. But it’s not Hurricane Earl that most of them are afraid of. It’s what may happen to the beach.
Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach’s bridges have been closed and marked as a cross at your own risk.
