POLLOCKSVILLE, N.C. - Jones County authorities tracked down a man they say is part of a dog fighting raid bust last week.
Deputies arrested 25 year old Brian Devon Tucker and charged him with 23 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty. Authorities found 30 dogs of various ages on a property off Highway 17 in Pollocksville.
Tucker was taken to the Jones County jail where he posted bond. Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

POLLOCKSVILLE, N.C. - A tip from a dog fighting raid in Pamlico County earlier today lead authorities to Jones County to bust another ring. The Humane Society of the United States along with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office seized 30 at a Pollocksville property late this evening. That brings the total number of dogs rescued from both properties to nearly 50.
Jones County authoritiesarrested Brian Devon Tucker and charged him with animal cruelty and dog fighting. Law enforcement says the dogs they found on Tucker’s property had scars and fresh wounds. They say they found a large amount of suspected paraphernalia connected to dog fighting as well.
The Humane Society took the rescued dogs; 13 adult dogs and 17 puppies, to an undisclosed location.
