WILSON, N.C. (AP) - Three people have been killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 95 in Wilson County.
WTVD-TV reports (http://bit.ly/nI5ctr ) that eight people were riding in an SUV Saturday evening when it overturned on a stretch of highway near the town of Wilson.
Four of the people in the vehicle were taken to a hospital in Greenville, while the fifth was transported to a hospital in Wilson. Police are investigating the wreck.
A state trooper reached Saturday night said details were not immediately available.
The state Department of Transportation sent out an alert saying the northbound lanes of I-95 near the accident were closed. The agency says the lanes were likely to reopen late Saturday night.
