GREENVILLE, N.C. - Millions of people all over the world are commemorating World Aids Day, thirty years after the epidemic began.
Hundreds marched through the streets of Bangladesh to raise awareness.
In Australia, Sir Elton John lit up the Sydney Opera House and called for a new war on AIDS.
And in London, people are wearing red ribbons, the universal symbol for AIDS awareness.
Advocates around the world say their main goals are to increase education, prevent transmission, and to create an AIDS-free generation.
And here at home, there are many groups dedicated to the effort.
