The National Weather Service will host a string of town hall meetings this week to discuss Hurricane Irene.
They’ll be taking about the impacts of the storm and products and services provided to the public during the storm.
Hosts are seeking to understand the publics perception of the threats posed by Hurricane Irene, find out how information was received and used by the public and discuss how the National Weather Service can improve its service to North Carolina.
The public will have the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire and ask questions of weather service and emergency management officials.
The meetings will take place in three counties across the East. The first is Monday night in the Pamlico County Courtroom in Bayboro, the second is Tuesday at the N.C. Estuarium in Washington in Beaufort County and the third takes place at the Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo in Dare County. All meetings start at 7 p.m.
