The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says a homeowner shot and killed a burglary suspect, captured one and chased two others out of his home Wednesday night.
Deputies said they arrested Kayman Northington in the home in Littleton and charged him with burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
Northington, from the Hollister area, was being held by homeowner Rudolph Davis when deputies arrived shortly after 8 p.m. Another suspect in the home was dead.
He was identified as Ricardo Harley, 21, from the Roanoke Rapids area and was wearing body armor.
Deputies said two other suspects ran away before they arrived. The Sheriff's Office believes the issue is drug-related.
No other names have been been released yet.
Northington is being held at the Halifax County Jail on $200,000 bond.
Deputies are asking anyone with information to call the Halifax County Sheriff's Office 252-583-8051 or Halifax County Crime Stoppers 252-583-4444.
