SNOW HILL, N.C. - It's the season of giving and one group of men you'd probably least expect to give are doing just that.
The Men's Service Club, which is made up of inmates at Maury Correctional Institute, collected and donated $300 to youth villages to sponsor children for Christmas.
The money will help three families in need to bring joy to their kids.
The inmates raised the money by selling chicken plates among other fundraisers.
This is not the first time the inmates helped others in need. Last spring they donated money after a tornado ripped through Greene County. That money was donated to the American Red Cross.
