REELSBORO, N.C. - A school bus accident this morning left dozens of students injured.

It happened in Pamlico County.

All 16 students are expected to be okay, but they certainly had quite a shake up this morning.

It happened along Highway 55 in the town of Reelsboro.  A student was about to get on the bus when a semi-truck rear-ended the back of it.

That student said he saw the bus go forward 40 feet in just a second.

There were 27 students on the bus and 16 of them were taken to the hospital in New Bern. Parents and students still shocked by the whole thing.

Fortunately, everyone is expected to be okay and there are no major injuries. The bus was at a complete stop when it happened.

We've learned the driver of the truck, Sidney Rountree is charged with failure to reduce speed and with having no operator's license.
