Officers rescue Wisconsin hostage in dramatic fashion

A Fond du Lac, Wisconsin police officer was shot Sunday (3/20) in an early morning standoff with an armed suspect.

Police say they were responding to a high risk call at a home when the suspect fired at them. Officers were seen rushing a woman out of the home and into an armored vehicle amid the shooting.

Officials say the injured officer was transported to a hospital and is currently in critical condition.
