Silver Alert issued for missing Duplin County teen

WALLACE, N.C. (WNCT) – A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing teen from Duplin County.

The Center for Missing Persons issued the alert Mattea Lynn Smith. She's a 14-year-old Caucasian female. Smith has medium-length blonde hair and hazel eyes. She's five-five and weighs 135 pounds.

Officials say she was last seen wearing a black jacket but no other clothing description is given.

She was last seen on the 800 block of Teachey Road in Wallace. Officials don't know where she could be going.
