WILSON, N.C. (WNCT) – Police in Wilson are investigating a suspicious fire that closed a Target store for the day.
Emergency crews were called to the Target on 3401 Raleigh Road Parkway shortly after 2:00 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, the fire was contained to the Greeting Card section of the store and was already out. Customers were evacuated and store closed for the rest of the day.
Officials say some ceiling tiles were damaged by the sprinkler system and some merchandise was also burned. No one was injured and the store is expected to reopen on Sunday.
Police provided pictures of someone they say is a person of interest in the investigating. They are still looking for this person so they can talk.
