Littleton sex offender accused of luring women into sex acts with Facebook

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. - A Littleton man is accused of luring women into sexual acts by using Facebook.

An investigation by the Halifax County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of 34-year-old Rodney Alexander "Pooney" Williams for failing to register his change of address as a sex offender and for using a social networking site.

Williams was charged with failure to report change of address by a sex offender, along with sex offender using a social website. He has a first court date was set for December 14th.

Williams was placed under a $100,000.00 bond.

Deputies say this is the third time in two years that Williams has been charged as a sex offender failing to notify the Sheriff's Office with his address change.
