Walstonburg woman plans home improvements after $100,000 lottery win

WALSTONBURG, N.C. - One woman from the east won big playing the North Carolina Education Lottery's High Roller game.

Lynette Fulford from Walstonburg in Greene County won the $100,000 prize.

She took $68,000 dollars home after taxes.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Fulford of scratching her way to the game’s top prize. “I was calm about it, but I didn’t believe it. I’ll believe it when I get the check in my hand.”

She says she'll use the money to build a new front porch and replace some windows on her house.
