GREENVILLE, N.C. - Ten people are homeless this afternoon after a fire breaks out at a duplex.
Greenville firefighters responded to the call at 407 Deck Street around 6:15 Tuesday evening.
Seven people were inside at the time, but all are said to be doing okay this afternoon.
Three others lived on the opposite side of the duplex, which now has significant smoke damage.
The Red Cross is helping the victims.
Officials say the fire was accidental and started by candles that weren't burning in holders.
One firefighter is reported to have suffered minor burns.
