Man Arrested in Connection with 2003 Rape Case

DUCK, N.C. - A South African man has been arrested in connection with two rape cases dating back to 2003.

Thirty-seven-year-old Lesiba Simon Matsoake of South Africa was arrested Wednesday in connection with the June 25, 2003 rape of a woman which occurred in Duck, as well as a June 10, 2003 rape of a woman which occurred in Kill Devil Hills.

Matsoake is being held at the Dare County Detention Center under a two-million dollar bond.

He is expected to make his first court appearance next week.
