WASHINGTON, N.C. - After five years on the job, another police chief in the east is calling it quits.
Chief Glen "Mick" Reed's last day on the job is February 29th.
He was appointed chief in June of 2007.
In his resignation letter, Reed says "It has been an honor to serve with the men and women of the Washington Police Department. I wish only the best for them and our community."
He did not give a reason for leaving.
