Man wanted on indecent liberties charge located in Charlotte homeless shelter

NASHVILLE, N.C. - A man wanted on charges of taking Indecent Liberties with a child is behind bars.

The Nash County Sheriff's Office says Alfonza Williams was taken into custody Wednesday. He was also wanted for first degree sexual offense with a child.

The US Marshall Service located him at a Charlotte homeless shelter.

Williams, a lifetime registered sex offender, was placed in the Meckleburg County jail under a $102,000 bond.
