ALLIANCE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Eight Days of Hope national volunteer missionary organization says Saturday, February 4 is the last day to apply for Hurricane Irene assistance in Pamlico County.
You can come and apply if you don’t have homeowners or flood insurance, you haven’t applied for FEMA aid, you applied for FEMA aid were classified as “non compliant,” you registered for FEMA and didn’t get proper funding for repairs or have insurance but still need repairs made to your home.
Anyone interested can go to the Pamlico County Senior Citizens Center on 800 Main Street in Alliance between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. You will need to bring two official forms of ID (with one as a picture ID), a property tax card to prove ownership and proof of residence. You will also have to fill out an application.
Eight Days of Hope says they will determine who is eligible in the next eight to 10 weeks through an independent social worker team.
