NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) -- This week, you'll get the chance to help fight hunger in the east.

The "Empty Bowls" project brings together artists and the public to fight hunger. The event will be held at the Temple Baptist Church on Thursday. You can get tickets to the event at the Bank of the Arts, Fuller Music and in the Temple Baptist Church office.

Religious Community Services is sponsoring the event, along with the Craven County Arts Council. Call (252) 638-2577 for more information.
