RALEIGH, N.C. - Some major funding is on the way for road repairs in the east.

That money from the state will go towards road repairs in Pitt and Greene counties.

The first is a section of Highway 11 in Pitt County, a 1.3 mile stretch from the end of the Tar River bridge to U.S. 13

In Greene County, crews will repair grading, paving and drainage on two bridges that extend over Little Contentea Creek.

Work is set to begin later this month.
