JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - On town in the east is getting a major facelift on their signal system.
The City of Jacksonville was awarded a contract by the state to upgrade more than 100 signals to computerized traffic signals.
Many of those upgrades will be dedicated to some of the more congested roads in and around town.
Officials say upgrading the signals should improve signal timing and congestion in the area.
