GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Two juveniles are accused of bring a weapon onto school grounds.
It happened February 1st at Rosewood Middle School.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office say the pair had left the school grounds, when they were apprehended. They seized a 45 caliber pistol from the pair.
The juveniles were released to their parents.
Investigation into the incident showed the two never entered the school building or had contact with student, nor were they Rosewood students.
Petitions have been filed on the two for possession of a weapon on school grounds. The two were placed in a juvenile detention facility.
