BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) -- A man arrested for making a bomb threat to cover up an armed robbery is expected in Carteret County court Monday morning.
Nathan Daniel Gillikin was arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery, trafficking opium and making a false bomb threat.
Last Wednesday a threat was called into the Beaufort Town Hall around the same time a robbery was reported at a CVS store. No bomb was found. Gillikin was arrested on Friday under a $500,000 bond.

BEAUFORT, N.C. - A bomb threat to cover a robbery? A little after 1 p.m. today someone called in a bomb threat at the Beaufort Town Hall. Authorities evacuated the building but didn't find a bomb. At about the same time, someone called in a robbery in progress at the CVS Pharmacy on Liveoak Street. Take a look at the picture. Witnesses say the robbery suspect showed a knife and demanded narcotics. Later, the bomb threat was traced to Wesley's Grocery Store. Officers examined the store's surveillance video and say the man in this photo is likely the person who called in the threat and committed the robbery.
