Gang conference kicks off in the east on Monday

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) -- The sixth annual eastern North Carolina Gang Conference kicks off on Monday.

The seminar is designed to educate people on the psychology of why kids join gangs and gang awareness.

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at Lenoir Community College's Waller Auditorium in Kinston. Those who work with children in their community were encouraged to sign up.
