HAVELOCK, N.C. (WNCT) -- Mulch made from vegetative debris collected during irene is now available.
The mulch is free to anyone, including residents, businesses and non-profit groups.
Officials say it will help keep storm recovery costs low. They also ask that the mulch not be re-sold to any third parties.
If you would like to get some of the mulch you can do so starting at 8:00 a.m. Thursday at two places. The first is off Highway 101 near the entrance to the Havelock Recreation Complex. The other is at Walter B. Jones Park.
