RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The North Carolina Department of Revenue is making it easier for people to complete their individual income tax returns with an online tutorial that explains the process step-by-step.
The self-paced program allows North Carolina taxpayers to understand who is required to file an individual return, how to obtain the necessary forms and identify what information they need to have gathered in order to complete their returns.
The tutorial, which is meant to provide general guidance only, also covers information on certain popular tax credits and deductions. It can be found at the department's website, under the Taxpayer Self-Help Online Learning Modules quick link.
