KINSTON, N.C. - A request to detain a suspect led Kinston Police to the discovery of a portable Meth lab.
It happened Tuesday around 1:00 a.m.
The Kinston Department of Public Safety say, at the request of the Jones County Sheriff's Office, they responded to the West Park Inn to detain Stacy Williams on charges. An undercover drug bust of Charles Edward Williams, who was arrested after he allegedly sold Methamphetamine to an undercover Jones County Investigator, led them to Stacy's location.
While taking her into custody, they discovered an inactive, portable Meth lab in the bathroom.
The scene was secured and the N.C. SBI was contacted.
Investigation into the incident is still underway.
