CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - A marine stationed in the East has died in combat in Afghanistan. 

The Defense Department says Marine Corporal Phillip McGeath of Glendale, AZ died Wednesday in combat in Helmand Province.

The 25-year-old was with the 1st Battalion, Sixth Marine Regiment out of Camp Lejeune.
