GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Three counties in the east want you to get healthy and fit.
In Lenoir County, a special grant gives the community free access to a weight-loss challenge called “Lighten Up Lenoir.” The challenge starts Monday, January 23 and runs throughout the year. You’re encouraged to get your own team together and sign up at lightenuplenoir.org. Lenoir Memorial Hospital and the Minges Wellness Center will give you diet and exercise tips online.
In Onslow County, it’s the “Lighten Up Onslow” challenge. It’s also free and to sign up just go to lightenuponslow.org. That challenge works like the one in Lenoir County and it also starts on Monday and runs through May.
In Pitt County, the Chamber of Commerce will start the 4th annual Live Healthy Greenville-Pitt 100 Day Challenge. It starts Monday and runs through May 1. Everyone is encouraged to get a team together and sign up at livehealthygreenville-pitt.org.
