CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Camp Lejeune has a new visitor's center.
The base unveiled the center today, which is officially dubbed The Main Gate Access Control Complex marks the completion of the final phase of a large construction project, that's geared to improving the base's access control points and road networks.
The new complex is designed to enhance customer service.
“We have a close relationship with the community and I have 10 thousand family members that live on this base so it’s a community within a community and we have to understand that. So customer service and making things as easy as we can, understanding that you have to have security is our goal and I think this goes a long way into achieving that goal,” said COL. Dan Lecce, Camp Lejeune base commander.
The new visitor’s center will replace the old one this Saturday at 5 a.m.
