Released kidnapping victim clarifies details about Sunday night incident

GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Authorities have released new details about the Sunday evening kidnapping of two men.

Deputies say investigation into the incident has clarified some details, including that the two kidnapped men were stopped by a 1999 Ford Extended Cab Pick-Up Truck with a camper shell, black in color. Further, the suspect vehicle flashed a white light at the victims, which caused them to pull over. And, the suspect vehicle was occupied by 4 Hispanic and 3 black males.

While one of the men was released Monday, authorities are still searching for the second victim, 48-year-old Geniro Jamis.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. - The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a reported kidnapping this afternoon.

It happened Sunday night round 10:30 p.m.

Deputies say two Hispanic men were stopped on Leonard Drive by a white SUV, possibly an Expedition, after the suspect vehicle turned on blue, yellow, and red lights. Six suspects wearing face masks took the two male occupants out of the car at gun point, put them in the suspect vehicle and took off.

The suspects are believed to be one white male and 5 Hispanic males.

The kidnapping victims have been identified as 48-year-old Geniro Jamis and 24-year-old Israil Aguirre.

Aguirre has since been released by the kidnappers.

The investigation is into the incident and location of the second victim is still underway.
