State health officials are warning people about the rapid spread of norovirus in the Carolinas.

RALEIGH, N.C. - Health officials are urging people to take precautions from Norovirus.

The outbreak that we first told you about in Pitt County is now becoming a widespread problem in our state.

State Epidemiologist, Doctor Megan Davies says if you are vomiting or have diarrhea, do not go to work, school, or even pick up your child from daycare.

Public health officials say antibacterial wipes or disinfectants will not kill Norovirus infections.

Only a diluted bleach solution will work.
