CLINTON, S.C. - The East Carolina women's tennis squad swept six singles matches, three in straight sets, and earned the doubles point to post a convincing 7-0 non-conference victory over Presbyterian Wednesday afternoon at the Callaway Courts.

The win, which also served as the Lady Pirates' second-straight shutout and seventh of the season, improved ECU's overall spring dual match record to 15-5. The Blue Hose suffered their seventh consecutive loss, dropping their season mark to 4-13.

The Lady Pirates opened the match by capturing the doubles point. Tandems Jessica Cook and Brooke Walter (8-0), along with Tamara Sachs and Varinia Soler (8-2), each rolled to impressive wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to clinch the first tally before Luiza Borges and Mireia Gol closed out the action with
an 8-3 decision against Abby Diminich and Brittany Lanford.
