(AP) - North Carolina point guard Quentin Thomas practiced with the team Saturday and probably will be available to play in the top-ranked team's Atlantic Coast Conference opener against Clemson today.
Thomas has missed the last two games because of a sprained left ankle.
Forward Alex Stepheson, a sophomore, will miss his second game in a row as he remains in California because of an illness in the family.
Coach Roy Williams said he hopes Stepheson will return to Chapel Hill early next week.
