(AP) - Maryland's Crystal Langhorne is the Atlantic Coast Conference women's player of the week, and Boston College's Stefanie Murphy is the rookie of the week.
Langhorne led Maryland to sweep its first ACC games of the season. She posted a double-double at Wake Forest in the team's conference opener with 15 points and 10 rebounds. She had 25 points and eight rebounds in the victory over Clemson.
Murphy scored 10 of her 12 first-half points in the final six minutes of the half to keep the Eagles within one point of North Carolina State on Sunday. She finished with 21 points as BC held off the Wolfpack for a 60-59 victory.
Against Virginia Tech, Murphy recovered from first-half foul trouble to collect eight points and five rebounds to help the Eagles win.
