(AP) - It was a true man-bites-dog story in the NBA tonight in Boston. The Celtics had won nine straight and were a league-leading 29-and-3. The Charlotte Bobcats were just 1-and-11 on the road.
But the Bobcats prevailed, holding the Celtics to 59 points over the final three quarters of a 95-83 victory. Jason Richardson led the upset with 34 points and nine rebounds, while Gerald Wallace had 15 points and 10 boards. Raymond Felton chipped in 16 points and eight assists for the Bobcats.
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 24 points and eight rebounds. Paul Pierce added 13 points but shot just 4-for-14.
