Elon extends Lembo's contract through 2012 season

(AP) - Elon has signed football coach Pete Lembo to a contract extension through the 2012 season.


Lembo was the Southern Conference coach of the year after finishing 7-4 this past season, the school's first winning season since 2000.


He is 12-10 in two seasons with the Phoenix.
