CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Richard Childress will swap the crews for drivers Kevin Harvick and Casey Mears following this weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Harvick has dropped six spots in the standings to 16th following consecutive poor showings at Texas and Phoenix. Casey Mears is 22nd in the standings in his first season driving for Richard Childress Racing.
Todd Berrier and his crew will move from Harvick's team to Mears' next week. Berrier has been with Harvick since 2003, and the duo won eight races together.
Gil Martin will take his crew to Harvick's car. He has been with the No. 07 team since 2005, and led Clint Bowyer into the Chase the past two seasons.
The drivers will keep their current spotters.
