VANCEBORO- West Craven's boys and girls teams were too much for South Central in Coastal 3A play on Tuesday night.
In the opener, the Lady Eagles broke open a close game in the second half, rolling to a 73-49 win. Jamie Cherry poured in 27 points for West Craven. The Lady Eagles came into the game ranked third in the state in 3A play, just one notch below defending state champion South Central.
The West Craven boys also won easily. Josh Cuthburtson scored 37 points and Jeffrey Adams added 16 in a 95-76 win over South Central.
Both the boys and girls teams at West Craven remained undefeated on the year with the victories.
